Mark Carpenter

Mark Carpenter, MS, CIH, CIEC, CMC, is a Principal Scientist at UL, specializing in indoor environmental testing and drinking water analyses since November 2019. Concurrently, Mark has served as Vice President of Testing & Diagnostics at Healthy Buildings since December 2000, where responsibilities include directing technical and field operations in indoor environmental and sustainability consulting, focusing on exposure monitoring and ventilation assessment. Mark's prior experience includes a Regional Manager role, successfully establishing a consulting office in New York, and a Project Manager position at Environmental Health & Engineering, overseeing a significant US EPA indoor air quality study. Mark also contributed to academia as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, managing an industrial hygiene laboratory. Mark holds a Master of Science in Environmental Health Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Hampton University.
