Melissa Lamson is a research professional with a strong background in polymer chemistry and sustainable materials. Melissa obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from SUNY Geneseo in 2011 and a Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry from Carnegie Mellon University in 2016. During the doctoral studies, Melissa conducted research on dispersions and polyacrylonitrile, while managing a research lab of 20 to 25 individuals. Following academic pursuits, Melissa held roles as a Research Scientist at BASF and as a Research Associate at Avery Dennison. Subsequently, Melissa served as a Senior Consultant and later as a Principal Consultant at Anthesis Group, focusing on sustainable materials and products. Currently, Melissa is a Research Scientist in Product Sustainability at UL Solutions.
