Michelle Handy, PhD, is a strategic advisor and lead UX researcher with extensive experience in behavioral science and user experience research across various sectors. Currently serving as the Lead Researcher at UL Solutions, Michelle previously led UX research strategies at FM Global and has held positions that include Senior Manager of Strategic Research at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and Behavioral Scientist at WW/WeightWatchers. Key contributions include advancing research maturity at FM Global, translating consumer insights into impactful customer experience strategies at BCBSMA, and applying behavioral science to clean energy adoption with See Change Institute. Michelle holds a PhD and MA in Psychological & Brain Sciences from UC Santa Barbara and a BS in Psychology from the University of Maryland College Park.
