Terry Alger

Vice President - Applied Research and Development

Terry Alger is an experienced leader in the automotive industry, specializing in sustainable transportation innovations. They earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a PhD from The University of Texas at Austin. Terry worked as a Research Engineer at Ford Motor Company and served as an Engineer Officer in the US Army, before leading various teams at Southwest Research Institute and currently holding the position of Vice President of Applied Research and Development at UL Solutions since 2024. Throughout their career, Terry has focused on developing advanced vehicle technologies and strategies for decarbonizing transportation.
