Jane Howard is the current CEO at Ulster Bank. Prior to their current role, they served as the Managing Director of Personal Banking at NatWest Group from June 2016 to September 2018. In this role, they were responsible for the customer distribution transformation strategy and for leadership and management of performance in the Branch Network, Telephony, Webchat, Messaging and Complaints, for NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland, and Ulster Bank NI.
Howard began their career at NatWest Group in November 1997 in various ‘Head of’ roles. In March 2007, they were promoted to Chief Operating Officer of Group Risk where they were responsible for delivering significant improvements in the development, implementation and embedding of governance, risk reporting, risk appetite with supporting frameworks and measurement across the group. Jane held this position until April 2013 when they were promoted to Managing Director of Personal Banking.
Jane Howard has a degree in Financial Services from Sheffield Hallam University, a Diploma in Leading Cultural Change and Ethical Behaviour in Financial Services from IOB, and a UK Diploma in Compliance from Alliance Manchester Business School. Jane is also a Certified Bank Director from the University of Cambridge and has an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Banking.
