Anthony Gariolo

Anthony Gariolo is an experienced forensic and emergency medical professional currently serving as Deputy Medical Examiner for Ulster County since September 2023. Previously, Anthony worked as a Forensic Death Investigator for Tompkins County and Excelsior Pathology, conducting investigations of sudden and unattended deaths. With a background as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician and Field Training Officer at Bangs Ambulance, Anthony provided advanced life support and oversaw training, alongside roles as a Dispatcher and Emergency Medical Technician. Anthony's forensic expertise was further developed during tenure as Chief Forensic Autopsy Technician for Onondaga County, managing morgue operations and performing forensic autopsies. An earlier internship in forensic investigations at Onondaga County complemented a strong academic foundation, including a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University and a Master of Science in Biomedical Forensic Science from Syracuse University.
