Enough Is Enough (eie) Program Coordinator at Ulster County

Elena Valencia Alzate is an experienced professional in the fields of mental health and community support, currently serving as the Enough is Enough Program Coordinator for Ulster County since July 2021. In this role, Elena conducts preventive and educational sessions on sexual and interpersonal violence while providing support services to victims and survivors. Previous experience includes working as a Mental Health Counselor at the NYS Office of Children and Family Services, where guidance and mentorship were provided to at-risk youth. Elena also held positions at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York, where program coordination and crisis intervention for food insecurity were primary responsibilities, as well as roles at the Northeast Center for Rehabilitation and Brain Injury, fostering recovery in patients with traumatic brain injuries. Elena's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Clinical Neuropsychology from VIU - Universidad Internacional de Valencia and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Universidad de San Buenaventura.
