Kai Lord-Farmer

Kai Lord-Farmer is an accomplished Senior Planner with extensive experience in housing policy, climate action planning, and environmental analysis. Currently at Ulster County, Kai manages housing programs and works closely with local governments and organizations to promote affordable housing initiatives. Previous roles include leading the development of the City of Sacramento's Climate Action Plan and overseeing climate-related projects as a Senior Planner focused on sustainability. With a foundation in air quality and climate change analysis from Ascent Environmental, Inc., and experience as a Long Range Planning Intern at the County of San Luis Obispo, Kai has developed a strong expertise in planning issues related to climate change mitigation and urban design. Education includes a Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning, a Master of Science in Transportation Engineering, and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from California Polytechnic State University and Purchase College, SUNY.
