Massimo Cordella

Massimo Cordella serves as the Deputy Commissioner of Finance for Ulster County since July 2023. Previously, Cordella held the position of Chief of Staff in the New York State Senate from January 2019 to December 2022, where management of a ten-member team resulted in the passage of the most bills by a first-term senator. Cordella also worked as Deputy Chief of Staff for Senator Jen Metzger, focusing on constituent services and advocacy. As a Field Organizer for Jen Metzger's campaign, Cordella successfully led volunteer efforts in Orange County, achieving historic electoral results. Before entering public service, Cordella was Vice President at Steen Associates, an international mergers and acquisitions advisory firm. Cordella's academic background includes a BA in Economics from Columbia University and an MS in Finance & Economics from The London School of Economics.
