Hong Bui

Hong Bui has extensive experience in union organization and leadership, currently serving as an Area Representative for Charter Schools with United Teachers Los Angeles since October 2015, focusing on membership promotion. Prior to this role, Bui worked at SEIU Local 721 as a Worksite Organizer, acting as the chief negotiator for union contract bargaining and leading recruitment efforts. Additionally, Bui served as a Lead Organizer for SEIU USWW, managing a team for the Good Jobs LAX Campaign, where significant achievements included organizing the first baggage handler and ramp agent strike in LAX history. Bui's career began at SEIU Local 99 as an Internal Organizer, where responsibilities included negotiating union contracts and training new leaders. Bui holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from UC Irvine.
