Zachary Halisky has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a Graduate Engineer at Ulteig, where they began in January 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Structural Engineer Intern in the Transmission & Distribution department at Ulteig starting in April 2022.
Before joining Ulteig, Zachary had an internship as a Structural Engineer at Kiewit from June to August 2021.
During their time at BYU Ira A. Fulton College of Engineering, Zachary held various leadership roles on the AISC Steel Bridge Team, including President from May 2019 to August 2021. Zachary successfully coordinated sponsorship efforts, secured funding, and led the team to win the regional AISC Steel Bridge Competition for two consecutive years. Zachary also served as Team Captain from May 2018 to May 2019 and as a Student Bridge Designer from September 2017 to May 2018.
Zachary gained additional experience as a Structural Engineer Intern at Vector Structural Engineering from October 2019 to April 2020.
Prior to their engineering internships, Zachary worked as a Civil Engineering Intern in Facilities Planning at Brigham Young University from April 2018 to October 2019. Zachary was responsible for rendering site surface profiles and performing topographical surveys. Zachary also worked as a Structural Research Assistant during this time, conducting tests and troubleshooting machinery errors.
Before pursuing their engineering career, Zachary worked as a Trainer & Part-Time Supervisor at the Missionary Training Center from August 2016 to April 2018.
Additionally, Zachary owned their own DJing & Pro Audio Business from December 2011 to September 2017. Zachary provided audio, lighting, and entertainment services to various local venues.
Lastly, Zachary gained customer service experience as a Customer Sales Associate at Wawa, Inc. from May 2017 to August 2017, and as a Valet Crew Member at Open Door Valet during the same time period.
Zachary Halisky has a diverse education history. Zachary started their educational journey in 2011 and completed their high school education at William Tennent High School, where they obtained their High School Diploma with a focus on General studies in 2014.
Motivated to further their knowledge, Zachary enrolled in Brigham Young University in 2016. Zachary pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, which they successfully completed in 2021. During this time, they gained expertise in various aspects of civil and environmental engineering.
Eager to delve deeper into their field, Zachary continued their education at Brigham Young University, focusing on Structural Engineering. Zachary pursued a Master of Science degree and is expected to complete it in 2022. This advanced program enables him to specialize in the intricacies of structural engineering.
In addition to their formal education, Zachary also obtained various certifications to enhance their skills and productivity. Zachary became a Procore Certified: Student through Procore Technologies in January 2021. In June 2020, they completed the "Enhancing Your Productivity" certification offered by LinkedIn.
