Karl Frohlich

Karl Frohlich is a Systems Engineer II at Ultima Genomics since October 2021, previously serving as an Associate Systems Engineer. Prior experience includes a research role at Cornell University from January 2019 to February 2022, where Karl worked on innovative projects such as a 3D Printable Smart Mask and microfluidics research. Karl's efforts resulted in the creation and patenting of a smart mask designed for respiratory health monitoring, as well as the investigation of droplet behavior for fog collection improvements. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Bioengineering and a Bachelor's degree in Biological Engineering, both from Cornell University, complemented by recognition such as the Engineering Learning Initiatives Undergraduate Research Scholarship and multiple conference presentations. Additional experience includes team leadership in biorobotics, laboratory assistance, and participation in musical performances as a principal violist.
