Zohar Shipony

Zohar Shipony currently serves as Associate Director and previously held the position of Senior Scientist at Ultima Genomics since June 2021. From August 2016 to June 2021, Zohar contributed as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Genetics at Stanford University, where work focused on high molecular weight DNA long read sequencing, Cas9 based enrichment methods, and single cell techniques. Zohar's experience includes coordinating multi-laboratory collaborations, supervising research technicians and rotation students, and extensive data analysis of next generation sequencing data. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Biomathematics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology from the Weizmann Institute of Science and an M.Sc. in Immunology also from Weizmann. Additional experience includes quality assurance and website development at RayV Inc. from 2001 to 2005.
