Vidyasagar Amirapu has worked in a variety of roles in the IT industry since 1982. Vidyasagar began their career at Tata Consultancy Services Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. as an HR Exec, where they were responsible for IT resources recruitment, compensation, and employee orientation. In 1989, they moved to iGate Mastech as an HR Manager, designing and managing business-oriented HR systems. In 1998, they became VP Operations-Sales and Resourcing at a startup in Silicon Valley, providing niche IT services to startups and large companies. In 2005, they joined SRA OSS as Director Sales, responsible for IT sales and a wide range of models and services. In 2014, they moved to PTSOL \u00ae - Progressive Technology Solutions as Director Client Relations, presenting core business offerings and products to corporations and SMBs. In 2017, they became an Independent Consultant at Business Tech Consulting. Finally, in 2018, they joined Ultimo Software Solutions Inc. as Director Client Relations (Enterprise Software), responsible for acquisition of new clients and strengthening existing client relationships.

Vidyasagar Amirapu completed their Masters in Human Resources from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences between 1978 and 1980. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Madras between 1975 and 1978. Theireducational journey began at Oak Grove School, Mussoorie, where they completed their ISC in Science and Maths between 1966 and 1974.
