Hyeon Lee, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Starting in 2010 as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Sogang University, they worked in the Net Shape Manufacturing Lab. In 2011, they joined Auburn University as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Multi-Scale Tribology Lab, as well as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Mechanics of Materials. From 2014 to 2020, Hyeon Lee worked at Virginia Tech, where they held positions such as Graduate Research Assistant in Acoustics, Signal Processing, and Immersive-Reality Lab, and Graduate Teaching Assistant for System Dynamics. In 2020, they joined EPIX Audio as an Industrial Designer specializing in Acoustic Design Engineering, and in 2021, they became a Senior Design Engineer at Ultra Clean Technology. Hyeon Lee's work experience includes conducting research, performing measurements and analyses, designing and developing products using various engineering principles and technologies.
Hyeon Lee, Ph.D. holds an extensive education history in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Hyeon obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree from Virginia Tech between the years of 2014 and 2020. Prior to this, they pursued their Master of Science (MS) degree at Auburn University, where they were enrolled from 2011 to 2013. Hyeon Lee began their academic journey at Sogang University, where they completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2003 to 2011.
