Barath Sikkan

Barath Sikkan has a diverse and extensive work experience in supply chain management and procurement. Barath has held various leadership roles in different companies and industries. Barath'smost recent position was as the Director Global Procurement, Indirects at Ultra Clean Technology since April 2023. In this role, Barath is responsible for subcontractor management, developing collaborative agreements with suppliers, and executing negotiation strategies.

Prior to that, Barath worked as the Director, Business Development/Consulting-Asia at Falcon Group from November 2021 to December 2022. Here, they provided customized supply chain solutions to unlock capital, identified savings, and secured the supply chain for clients in multiple industries.

From May 2018 to November 2021, Barath served as the General Manager Supply Chain (Drilling) at Sapura Energy Berhad. In this global role, they oversaw supply chain management, including procurement, sourcing, digital transformation, logistics, warehousing, and inventory management, and managed a total annual spend of USD300-400M. Barath received recognition from the CEO for their contribution towards efficiency, cost savings, and sustainable procurement.

Before that, Barath worked at Air Liquide as the Procurement Director - South East Asia & Pacific from February 2017 to April 2018. In this role, they implemented best supply chain practices, advised on sustainable impact, and led sustainable business strategies for multiple countries. Barath also implemented a third-party supplier assessment program to monitor and improve supplier sustainability performance.

Barath's earlier experience includes roles such as Head of Supply Chain - Asia at Seadrill Careers and International Supply Chain Lead at Odfjell Drilling/IDM Group Ukraine. Barath has also worked as a Customer Support Air Export at flyjac logistics pvt. ltd. Overall, Barath has a strong track record of successfully managing supply chains, driving cost savings, and implementing sustainable procurement practices.

Barath Sikkan's education history consists of the following:

- Barath attended The University of Chicago Booth School of Business from 2014 to 2015, where they completed the Advanced Management Program for Senior Excs with a field of study in The Accelerated Development Program.

- From 2004 to 2006, Barath Sikkan studied at Robert Gordon University and obtained a Master of Science degree in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management.

- Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Commerce at the University of Madras from 1998 to 2001.

In addition to their formal education, Barath Sikkan has obtained various certifications, including Associate Lecturer, Procurement in Digital Era from Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) in 2023, Chairman SCM Workshops Asia from the Society of Petroleum Engineers International in 2020, and Project Management in Oil and Gas from the Project Management Institute in 2020.
