Bob Willis has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Bob started their career at Woodward Governor Company as a Field Application/Control System Engineer, providing technical support and training for industrial control systems. Bob then joined the US Navy, where they held various positions of increasing responsibility, culminating in being the Vice Commander of the Submarine force. In this role, they were responsible for manning, training, and equipping reserve units. After their military service, Bob joined Applied Materials, where they held roles such as Global Product Manager and Enterprise Data Management. Bob was responsible for product development, market positioning, and managing the transition of new products to market. Currently, Bob is the Managing Director of Product Line Management at Ultra Clean Technology.
Bob Willis holds multiple degrees in various fields of study. Bob obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research and another BS in Nuclear Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, which they attended from 1979 to 1983. Additionally, they earned a Master of Science (MS equivalent) in Nuclear Engineering from the MS NE Naval Nuclear Power School in 1984 and 1985. Furthermore, they obtained a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Mechanical Engineering in 1994. Finally, Bob Willis completed their education by acquiring a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, specializing in Business from the University of Phoenix, where they studied from 2003 to 2007.
