Matthew Lynden has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Matthew started their career as an ICT Coordinator at the NSW Department of Education in August 2006, where they stayed until September 2013. Following that, Matthew worked at Burnt Stew Computer Solutions from October 2013 to May 2014, with a role in Sales & Support. In 2014, they joined Ultra Commerce and held various positions, including Platforms Engineer from September 2014 to January 2016, Senior Cloud Engineer from January 2016 to July 2019, Principal DevOps Engineer from July 2019 to December 2021, and their current role as Principal Platform Developer. Within their roles at Ultra Commerce, Matthew was involved in designing and building cloud infrastructure, performing cost analysis, coordinating on-premise to cloud migrations, and working on complex integrations.

Matthew Lynden began their education in 2004 at TAFE NSW, where they obtained a Certificate IV in Network Management and a Certificate III in Network Administration. Matthew furthered their education at TAFE NSW in 2005-2006, earning a Diploma in Network Engineering. In 2012, Matthew attended TAFE NSW again and obtained a Certificate IV in Frontline Management. In addition to their formal education, Matthew has pursued various certifications, including courses in Cypress End-to-End Testing, JavaScript Unit Testing, Mastering Electron, React Native, GraphQL, React, Golang, Python, TypeScript, MongoDB, AWS Serverless Architecture, Docker and Kubernetes, CSS, NuxtJS, VueJS, Webpack 2, JMeter, JavaScript, NodeJS, and Postman REST API Testing. These certifications were obtained from Udemy, with the most recent certification gained in March 2023.
