Barry Doust

Barry Doust is a highly experienced Lead Acoustic Systems Engineer at Ultra Maritime since May 2021, with a robust background in engineering leadership. Previous positions include Sr. Manager of Engineering Services at HII Technical Solutions and Director of Engineering at Hydroid, Inc., where Barry played a critical role in the development and lifecycle management of acoustic systems for underwater vehicles. Earlier experience includes serving as Principal Acoustic Systems Engineer at Ultra Electronics Ocean Systems, where Barry led technical programs for electroacoustic systems, and as Principal Investigator at MSI, where responsibilities encompassed managing engineering resources for sonar applications. Barry holds a Master's degree in Acoustics from Penn State University, a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University at Buffalo, and a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Sound Technology from the State University of New York at Fredonia.
