Romain Gilles

Romain Gilles has a diverse range of work experience in the technology industry.

Romain started their career in 2003 as a Software Developer at ObbiData before moving on to work as a Software Developer for WEXLOG, where they were involved in communication layer management and data warehouse integration.

In 2007, Romain joined Thomson Reuters as a Software Developer, and later took on the role of Lead Software Developer. During their time there, they worked on various projects such as client usage analysis, application benchmarking, and architecture refactoring.

In 2012, they became an Architect at Turaz, where they played a key role in creating a new platform for microservice deployment with a focus on low-latency solutions.

In 2014, Romain joined Misys as a Senior Architect and later became a Principal Architect. Romain led the development of a platform for the deployment of Misys microservices, with the goal of enabling private and public cloud deployment options.

In 2016, they joined Finastra as a Dev Manager, leading a team in the development of a new generation pricing platform. Romain also took on the role of Principal Architect, where they worked on a project to create a new product based on streaming and event sourcing technologies for real-time position keeping.

Most recently, Romain joined Ultra in 2019 as the Lead Data Architect, where they are responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of data architecture.
