Hans-Christian Olesen

Hans-Christian Olesen is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the shipping and maritime industry. Currently serving as an Advisor and Chairman of the Baltic Exchange Index Council, Hans-Christian has been affiliated with The Baltic Exchange since October 2017. In addition, Hans-Christian has held various leadership roles at Ultrabulk A/S since August 1987, culminating in the position of Chief Executive Officer. As a member of the Board of Directors for BIMCO since October 2022, Hans-Christian contributes to the governance and strategic direction of the organization. Hans-Christian holds an HD(U) degree in International Trade from Copenhagen Business School, where studies were completed between 1987 and 1996.
