Atif Ghauri

Atif Ghauri has a diverse work experience in the cybersecurity field. Atif is currently serving as the President of UltraViolet Cyber since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked as an Adjunct Professor of Cybersecurity at the University of Michigan, starting in December 2020. Atif has also held positions as a CISSP Instructor at Yeshiva University, Rutgers University, Drexel University, and as a Guest Lecturer at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Before joining the University of Michigan, Atif Ghauri worked at Cyderes, where they served as the Chief Product Officer from July 2022 to March 2023, and as the Chief Operating Officer from March 2021 to August 2022. Prior to Cyderes, they held the position of Managing Partner at Mazars from August 2018 to March 2021.

Atif Ghauri's earlier work experience includes roles as Senior Vice President at Herjavec Group from January 2017 to July 2018, and as Chief Technology Officer from April 2014 to December 2016. Atif also worked as the Chief Product Security Officer at Comcast from January 2010 to March 2014, Director of Product Management at Unisys from September 2007 to February 2010, and as a Managing Consultant at IBM from January 2001 to August 2007. Atif began their career as an Information Systems Analyst at Merck in 1999.

Atif Ghauri obtained a bachelor's degree (BS) in Management Information Systems from Penn State University, graduating in 2000. Atif then pursued a master's degree in Technology Management from The Wharton School, completing their studies in 2009. In terms of additional certifications, they became a Certified ISC2 Instructor - CISSP in December 2020. Prior to that, they obtained the CISSP certification from (ISC)² in July 2004. Atif Ghauri also holds certifications as a Certified Cloud Security Architect from the Cloud Security Alliance and as a Certified Information Security Manager from ISACA, although the specific dates of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
