Julie Sokol

Julie Sokol has a wide range of work experience spanning from 2003 to the present. Julie'smost recent position is as the Senior Director of Customer Success at UltraViolet Cyber, which they began in December 2022. Prior to that, they worked for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, first as a Mission Outreach Manager from October 2018 to October 2021, and then as a Geospatial Program Manager from October 2021 to December 2022. Julie also served as a Program Manager at Defense Point Security, LLC from April 2018 to September 2018. Earlier in their career, they held various roles including IT Program Manager at The Ambit Group from April 2017 to April 2018, Program Manager at ArdentMC from July 2015 to April 2017, and Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton from January 2010 to July 2015. Julie also worked as the Deputy Director of Research and Analysis at the Project on National Security Reform (PNSR) from June 2009 to January 2010. Before transitioning into the field of program management, they were a teacher, working as an ESOL Teacher at Fairfax County Public Schools from July 2006 to June 2009, an English Teacher at Aldine ISD from July 2005 to July 2006, and a History/English Teacher at Houston ISD from June 2003 to July 2005.

Julie Sokol's education history includes several degrees and certifications in various fields. In 1993, they obtained a certification in Communications from Washington State University. From 1995 to 1998, Julie pursued a degree in Liberal Arts with a focus on Slavistics at The Evergreen State College. In 1999, they earned a Certificate in Polish Language from Jagiellonian University. Later, from 2007 to 2009, Julie pursued a Master of Science degree in Peace Operations at George Mason University. Finally, in 2011 and 2012, they obtained a Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity Policy from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
