Loren supports Ulu’s mission through the management, analysis, triage and drafting of executive correspondence and confidential communications, in line with Ulu’s commitment to courtesy, accountability, and professionalism.
“Aides de camp,” wrote George Washington, “are persons in whom entire confidence must be placed and it requires men of abilities to execute the duties with propriety and dispatch.” Loren’s mission is to serve Ulu (and by extension its entrepreneurs and partners) in exactly that way.
Loren’s background as a technology attorney, including as senior product counsel for Google and as a technology transactions associate with Morrison & Foerster, gives him unique insight into the needs, pace, and culture of investors and entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley and beyond. He is currently in the final of year of completing a graduate degree in counseling psychology in preparation for a second career as a therapist; he finds that having insight into human psychology is useful to his work at Ulu, as well.
Loren holds a JD from Yale Law School, where he was a Truman Scholar, and a BA in philosophy and political science from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania.He is currently in the practicum year of a master’s program in counseling psychology at Santa Clara University.
