Dan Read possesses extensive experience in fermentation science and biotechnology, holding significant roles at multiple organizations. At BioSyntha Technology Ltd., Dan managed fermentation facilities and health and safety initiatives, while at Novacta Biosystems Ltd. and other companies, Dan contributed to fermentation research and management. As the Founder and CEO of Cyanetics, Dan focused on decarbonization and bioprocess innovation, successfully raising substantial funding for projects. Currently, as Head of R&D for UMAMI Bioworks' UK Operations, Dan is driving advancements in cultivated seafood production. Dan holds a BSc (Hons) in Microbiology from the University of Hertfordshire, complemented by a solid educational foundation in biology and chemistry.
