Derek Monkres

Derek Monkres has a diverse range of work experience. Derek currently holds the position of Fund Accountant Lead - Alternative Investments at UMB Bank, starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Carta as an Associate Fund Controller from 2021 to 2023. From 2018 to 2021, Derek worked at Strata Fund Solutions LLC - An Alter Domus Company, first as an Analyst and later as a Supervisor. Before that, they were an Alternative Investments Accountant at UMB Fund Services from 2016 to 2018. Derek also has experience outside of the financial industry, having worked at America First Credit Union as a Branch Systems Testing Specialist and Lead Teller from 2012 to 2016. Additionally, they have previous experience as an Assistant Manager at Academy Sports from 2009 to 2010.

Derek Monkres obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting from Weber State University between 2012 and 2015.
