Doug Motl

Doug Motl has extensive work experience in the banking and finance industry. Doug is currently serving as the Executive Vice President and Head of Capital Finance Originations at UMB Bank since October 2019. Prior to that, they held the role of National Director of Originations - Capital Finance at Sterling National Bank from May 2018 to October 2019.

From May 2017 to May 2018, Doug worked at BMO U.S. as the Director of Commercial Business Development. Doug also served as the Director of Sponsor Finance at Fifth Third Bank from January 2010 to May 2017.

Before that, Doug held roles at Comerica Bank, Guaranty Business Credit, Bank One, and Bank of America. Doug worked as a Senior Vice President - Commercial Banking at Comerica Bank from October 2006 to January 2010, as a Director - Senior Underwriter at Guaranty Business Credit from October 2005 to October 2006, as a Director - Southwest Region ABL Portfolio Manager at Bank One from October 2002 to October 2005, and as a Vice President - Capital Finance at Bank of America from September 1997 to October 2002.

Doug's career in the banking industry began at Comerica Bank in June 1992 as a Credit Analyst. Doug later served as the Vice President of Commercial Banking from June 1993 to September 1997.

Before entering the banking industry, Doug worked as an Accountant in the Audit Division at Arthur Andersen & Co. from June 1990 to May 1992.

Doug Motl attended Southern Methodist University from 1986 to 1990, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting.
