Justin Rainey

Justin Rainey has extensive experience in information security and privacy. Justin currently serves as the SVP, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) & Chief Privacy Officer (CPO) at UMB Bank, where they are responsible for establishing and implementing an effective and proactive information security and privacy program. Prior to this, Justin worked at Franklin Templeton as part of the Global Information Security team.

Justin has also held leadership roles in other organizations, including serving as the President of the Board of Directors at Memorial Park and as the CAO and Global Head of Strategy & Planning (Global Security) at Invesco Ltd. Additionally, they have worked as a Business Information Security Officer Manager at ING, where they led the BISO team responsible for monitoring controls and risk across the company's retirement, annuity, and information technology businesses.

Furthermore, Justin has expertise in the healthcare information security field, as they authored the HCISPP Study Guide, a certification focused on protecting healthcare information. Justin has also worked as a Lead Security Engineer at The Home Depot and as a Network Engineer at Network Insight.

In addition to their current role at UMB Bank, Justin is also involved in the industry as the Chair of the CISO Advisory Committee at the Investment Company Institute.

Justin Rainey has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Political Science (Pre-Law) from the University of Houston. Justin also attended Emory University - Goizueta Business School where they studied Finance and Accounting for Non-Financial Managers, but it is not specified whether they obtained a degree in this field. Prior to their higher education, Justin attended Minnetonka Senior High School. In terms of certifications, they obtained the NACD Directorship Certification® from NACD (National Association of Corporate Directors) in January 2023. Justin also holds a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification from IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals, which they obtained in 2009. In addition, they have a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)², acquired in 2007.
