Kayode Abel

Kayode Abel is an experienced finance and credit professional currently serving as the Group Head of Credit at Umba, where Kayode leads credit strategy across various markets, achieving notable success in increasing approval rates and reducing non-performing loans. Previously, Kayode held positions as a Decision Scientist at Specialist Motor Finance Limited and managed credit risk and decision science at Umba. Kayode has also played a significant role as the Head of Credit and Risk Management at FairMoney, transforming credit operations in Nigeria and India. Kayode's extensive career includes leadership roles in credit risk analytics and team management in various financial institutions, with a strong academic background that includes an MSc in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science from the University of Hull and a bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Ado-Ekiti.
