Theunis Mew

Theunis Mew has over a decade of experience in technical management and engineering, currently serving as the Technical Manager at Umbhaba (Pty) Ltd since April 2013, where responsibilities include developing custom software solutions, IT administration, technical facilities maintenance, and managing electrical and automation projects. Prior to this role, Theunis worked at Adroit Technologies as a Driver Developer, focusing on protocol drivers for hardware interfacing with the Adroit Scada System. Experience also includes serving as Facility Maintenance Manager at MTN-Irancell, where management of switching facilities and power consumption was key, and as Service Manager at Mammut, ensuring customer satisfaction for power systems maintenance. Additionally, Theunis was a Senior SCADA and Commissioning Engineer at Masterguard Powersystems S.A., involved in the design and implementation of power control systems across multiple countries. Theunis holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Electronic Engineering from the University of Pretoria.
