Crystal Upperman

Crystal Upperman, PhD, serves as a Senior Manager in Strategy and Transactions at Deloitte since June 2022, providing strategic support in infrastructure, energy, and resilience. Concurrently, Crystal is on the Board of Visitors for the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science and the Board of Scientific Counselors for the EPA's Office of Research and Development. Crystal holds board positions at WE ACT for Environmental Justice and The Nature Conservancy, and is a member of the American Public Health Association's Advisory Board for the Center for Climate, Health, and Equity. Previous roles include Vice President at AECOM and Director of Strategy at Aclima, Inc. Crystal earned a PhD in Marine Estuarine Environmental Sciences from the University of Maryland, an MPA from Kennesaw State University, and a BS in Environmental Science from Spelman College.
