Jeffrey Cornwell is a seasoned research professional with extensive experience in environmental science and oceanography. Currently serving as a Research Professor at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science since July 2012, Jeffrey previously held multiple research positions at UMCES Horn Point Laboratory from 1986 to 2012, progressing from Research Associated to Research Associate Professor. Prior to that, Jeffrey was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Texas A&M University from 1984 to 1986. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Oceanography from the University of Alaska Fairbanks (1976-1983) and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry from Hobart and William Smith Colleges (1972-1976).
