Paola Pagan

Paola Pagan currently serves as the Assistant Vice President of Laboratory Operations at the University of Miami Health System, a position held since November 2022. Prior experience includes roles at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, where Paola was the Executive Director of Laboratory Operations from February 2017 to November 2022 and the Director of Laboratory Services from September 2013 to December 2016. Earlier career highlights include the Interim Manager of Laboratory Services and Laboratory Supervisor, as well as Microbiology Manager at BioReference Laboratories, where management of over 50 technologists was a key responsibility. Paola began the professional journey as a Medical Technologist specializing in parasitology at Quest Diagnostics. Educational qualifications include an M.B.A. in Health Care Administration from the University of Miami, a CAP Inspector certification, and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Microbiology and Bacteriology from Universidad Metropolitana.
