Benjamin Collins

Benjamin Collins currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Veracity Nuclear since January 2022 and holds the position of Senior Research Fellow at The University of Texas at Austin since November 2021. Additionally, Benjamin Collins has been involved with the University of Michigan in various capacities, including Adjunct Assistant Professor, Assistant Research Scientist, Research Fellow, and Graduate Research Assistant since August 2009. Prior to these roles, Benjamin Collins was Group Leader of the Reactor Multiphysics Group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory from May 2014 to November 2021 and held several research and development positions there. Benjamin Collins began a career in the nuclear field with a co-op position at FirstEnergy from 2002 to 2007. Academically, Benjamin Collins earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Nuclear Engineering, Radiological Sciences, and Scientific Computing from the University of Michigan between 2008 and 2011, a Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering from Purdue University from 2007 to 2008, and a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from Purdue University from 2002 to 2007.
