Benjamin Kuipers is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in computer science and mathematics. Currently serving as Professor Emeritus of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Michigan since January 2009, Benjamin previously held the position of Professor of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin from August 1985 to December 2008. Earlier in the career, Benjamin was a Professor of Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from June 1984 to July 1985 and a Research Associate at Tufts University from September 1978 to May 1984. Benjamin began as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics after completing a Ph.D. in Mathematics from MIT in 1977, following a B.A. in Mathematics from Swarthmore College in 1970.
