Bin Zhao

Bin Zhao currently serves as the Senior Director of International Giving and Engagement at the University of Michigan, a position held since January 2024. Prior to this role, Bin Zhao was the Director of Global Philanthropy, China, at The Nature Conservancy from August 2020 to January 2024. During an extensive tenure at the University of Michigan from 2012 to 2020, Bin Zhao held various positions including Director, Associate Director, Assistant Director, and Coordinator of International Giving and Engagement, focusing on the Greater China region. Earlier career experiences include management consulting at Buer Consult AS, serving as Deputy General Manager at Sino-Norway Bioengineering, and project management at Shincon AS. Bin Zhao began professional endeavors as a Project Assistant at Jian Hua Foundation and initially worked as a Teacher at the New Century Language and Culture Center. Bin Zhao holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Environmental Engineering from Beijing University of Technology, earned between 1998 and 2002.
