Brian Uridge

Brian Uridge, MPA, CPP, CHPA, CTM, has over three decades of experience in law enforcement, healthcare security, and fire service. Since 2018, they have served as the deputy director of public safety and security at the University of Michigan and as the director of security for Michigan Medicine, overseeing a large security team for a major health system. Prior to this, Brian held the position of director of security services at Spectrum Health System and assistant chief at the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety. They earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Ferris State University and a master’s degree in public administration from Western Michigan University, and have completed advanced studies at the FBI National Academy.
