Caity Holmes

Caity Holmes is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Michigan since February 2020, specializing in microbiology, bacteriology, pathogenesis, and host-pathogen interactions, with a focus on understanding the mechanisms of Klebsiella pneumoniae during Gram-negative bacteremia. From June 2020 to June 2022, Caity served as President of the University of Michigan Postdoc Association, advocating for over 1,500 fellows and enhancing support initiatives. Prior experience includes a Graduate Research Assistant role at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from September 2015 to December 2019 in the Cellular and Molecular Pathology Graduate Program, and an Undergraduate Research Assistant position at the University of Central Florida from June 2013 to June 2015 in Biotechnology and Biomedical Sciences. Caity earned a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Pathology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a BS in Biotechnology from the University of Central Florida.
