Chayanika Das is a seasoned researcher in the field of chemistry, currently serving as a Senior Research Scientist at SunHydrogen, Inc. since August 2023, focusing on solar water splitting and catalyst dynamics. Simultaneously, Chayanika holds a position as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Michigan, concentrating on overall water splitting and catalyst evaluation. Previously, Chayanika was an Associate Researcher at Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung from August 2018 to September 2022, specializing in the mechanochemical synthesis of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) for electrochemical applications. As a Humboldt Fellow, Chayanika innovated a corrosion prevention coating technique, and as an Adolf-Marten Fellow, developed a semiconducting polymer-graphene nanocomposite. Chayanika's research background includes a stint as a Research Assistant at Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research and experience as a Visiting Student at Raman Research Institute. Chayanika holds a PhD in Chemistry from CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory and has a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Physical Chemistry and Chemistry, respectively.
