David Kausch is a seasoned academic and actuary with extensive experience in teaching and leadership in actuarial sciences. Currently serving as a Faculty Lecturer at the University of Michigan since November 2022, Kausch previously held the position of Managing Actuary at Gabriel, Roeder, Smith & Company from March 2006 to June 2022. Kausch also contributed to the University of Michigan as a University Lecturer from 2003 to 2006, teaching in the nation's longest-running actuarial sciences program. Kausch holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Computer Science from Kalamazoo College and a Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics from the University of Michigan.
