Deanna Gates

Deanna Gates is a seasoned academic and researcher in the field of Biomedical Engineering, currently serving as a Professor and previously as an Associate and Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan's School of Kinesiology since July 2012. Prior experience includes roles as Site Supervisor at The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine and Research Biomechanist at Brooke Army Medical Center. Deanna began their career at Exponent as an Associate and was a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin, where a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering was earned. Earlier academic credentials include a Master’s degree from Boston University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia.
