Henry Dyson

Director, Faculty Honorifics In The Office Of The Vice President For Research at The University of Michigan

Henry Dyson serves as the Director of Faculty Honorifics in the Office of the Vice President for Research and as the Founding Director of the Office of National Scholarships and Fellowships at the University of Michigan since August 2005. In these roles, Henry leads initiatives to recruit and prepare students for major national scholarships, achieving significant recognition for the university in competitive fellowships. Previously, Henry held various positions within the LSA Honors Program, including Scholarships Coordinator, Senior Academic Advisor, and Program Director for LSA’s Individualized Major Program, while also advising students in the LSA Newnan Advising Center. Henry's academic background includes a PhD in Philosophy from Emory University, an MA in Classical Studies from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a BA in Humanities with a focus on Philosophy from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Additionally, Henry has taught at the College of William and Mary and contributed to the fields of philosophy and classical studies through teaching and publications.
