Ian Lin

Ian Lin is a highly skilled researcher and educator with extensive experience in mechanical engineering and scientific computing. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and formerly as a Graduate Student Research Assistant at the University of Michigan, Ian Lin has developed a Tensor-structured algorithm for Kohn-Sham DFT calculations, enhancing computational efficiency significantly. Additionally, Ian has held various roles in teaching and research during studies at National Taiwan University, focusing on finite element methods and fracture properties of materials, alongside conducting research on concrete materials and providing in situ supervision and data analysis during an internship. Ian Lin holds a PhD and MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, as well as an MS and BS in Civil Engineering from National Taiwan University.
