James Geiger has served as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Medical Officer at FlexDex Surgical since 2013, where the focus is on democratizing minimally invasive surgery through surgeon-powered robotics. In addition to his role at FlexDex, James Geiger has been a Professor of Surgery and Executive Director of the UM Pediatric Device Consortium at the University of Michigan since July 2008. James Geiger holds an MD in Medicine from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine (1983-1987) and a BS in Biology from the University of Michigan (1980-1983). James Geiger is an alumnus of Ottawa Hills High School, graduating in 1979.
