Dr. James J. Moon is the John Gideon Searle Professor in the Departments of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, and Chemical Engineering at the University of Michigan, where they focus on translational research aimed at developing innovative engineering tools for vaccines and immunotherapies. They are also a member of the Biointerfaces Institute and Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Michigan. Dr. Moon co-founded EVOQ Therapeutics, serving as Chief Science Officer, and has received multiple prestigious awards, including the National Science Foundation CAREER Award and the Melanoma Research Alliance Young Investigator Award. They completed a BS in Bioengineering at UC Berkeley and a Ph.D. in Bioengineering at Rice University, followed by postdoctoral work at MIT.
