Janet Johnson is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Michigan and serves as a Medical XR Advisor for XRSI - XR Safety Initiative, where Janet acts as co-chair of the Medical XR Privacy & Safety Working Group. Previously, Janet was a Graduate Researcher at the University of California San Diego, focusing on human-centered design of spatial and immersive experiences, with a dissertation on remote collaboration through mixed and virtual reality technologies. Janet's experience includes positions as a UX Research Intern at Facebook and UC San Diego Health, and a UX Research and Design Intern at PwC, as well as a Software Engineer at Microsoft and an Engineering Intern at Juniper Networks. Janet holds a PhD in Human Computer Interaction and a Master's in Computer Science from UC San Diego, along with a Bachelor's in Computer Science from Manipal Academy of Higher Education.
