Jarel McRae

Jarel McRae, M.Ed, serves as the Associate Director of the Office of New Student Programs at the University of Michigan since July 2021, where responsibilities include directing and assessing orientation, advising, and registration programs for new undergraduate students. Jarel previously held positions such as Assistant Director of Orientation Programs at the University of Michigan and Program Coordinator at the University of Nevada, Reno, focusing on improving student experiences during orientation. Earlier experiences include a Graduate Student Intern role at Kennesaw State University and Campus Coordinator at Strayer University, along with various administrative positions at the Atlanta Area School for Deaf, Kennesaw State University, and Augusta University. Jarel holds a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from Angelo State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Communication from Kennesaw State University.
