Joy Knoblauch is an Associate Professor of Architecture at the University of Michigan, where they explore the intersection of architecture and psychology while teaching the history and theory of architecture. Joy is currently writing a history of ergonomics and collaborating with a team to utilize generative visualization tools in depth psychology practices. Their first book, *The Architecture of Good Behavior: Psychology and Modern Institutional Design in Postwar America*, analyzes how environments influence behavior. Prior experience includes roles as a designer at Barradas and Partners Architects and Hilliard Architects, as well as adjunct teaching positions at Columbia University. Joy holds a Ph.D. in Architecture from Princeton University, along with degrees from Yale University and Cornell University.
