MacKenzie Shand

Mackenzie Shand currently serves as the Director of Volleyball Operations at the University of Michigan, overseeing daily scheduling, team and recruiting travel, budget management, and acting as the primary contact for various departments including marketing and compliance. Prior to this role, Mackenzie held the same position at Utah State University, managing travel and player logistics, and worked as a Technical Coordinator for the National Volleyball Association, supporting all twelve teams with data analysis. Additional experience includes coaching positions at Kenyon College, Saline High School, and Huron Valley Volleyball Club, along with a graduate assistant role at Springfield College, where Mackenzie organized practices and recruitment strategies. Educationally, Mackenzie holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Washington and Lee University and two Master’s degrees in Physical Education focused on Advanced Level Coaching and Teaching from Springfield College.
