Maya Wolock

Wilderness First Aid + Cpr/aed/first Aid Instructor

Maya Wolock is an accomplished research assistant currently working at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, focusing on the Rx Kids program, which is the nation's first universal and unconditional cash transfer initiative. At the University of Michigan, Maya serves as a Wilderness First Aid, CPR/AED, and First Aid instructor, along with facilitating team-building activities using experiential learning models. Additionally, Maya is an undergraduate research assistant at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, where research is conducted on maternal wellbeing in relation to economic hardships. As co-president of The Pearl Project, Maya leads fundraising efforts to support a community center in Chicago, while also serving as the co-director of policy initiatives for the Prison Birth Project, advocating for reproductive rights. Previous roles include editing for the Undergraduate Journal of Public Health and working as a student fellow for Debbie Dingell for Congress. Maya is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Community and Global Public Health from the University of Michigan, set to graduate in April 2024.
